Kashmira creates Henna Art

In 2008, I began my internship in New York, prior to my trip to India. This allowed me to understand the Merasi world on a basic level. Upon arriving I was overwhelmed. Yet every day I awoke facing a larger sun, a more challenging list of activities, and continuous moments when my heart smiled. To be part of FAR, is to be involved with a colorful culture of outstanding musicians, and warm, self-less, deserving people. I have returned in 2009 and 2011 and am thankful to have been given the opportunity to capture the emotion and daily living of this breathtaking community in my photographs (Intern Lens EA).
